Marta has been the CEO of JABA since April 2013. She came to JABA as COO in the Fall of 2012. She has made collaboration a focus of her tenure- both internal and external. The opportunities grow as JABA works to help people age in community, through providing services and support along the continuum of aging. She is proud to be a Founding Member of the Charlottesville Area Alliance- working toward an age-friendly community. During her previous 27 years, she worked in executive positions overseeing rehab programs for national skilled nursing facility and assisted living companies. Her entire career has been focused on helping seniors achieve the highest quality of life, in the place of their choice. She believes in creating a community that honors and respects the gifts that seniors have to offer.
