Dan Edelman is a Fellow with the Harvard Kennedy School's Government Performance Lab. Dan works with governments to develop Pay for Success programs, and assists Arkansas, New York State, and Illinois with managing reentry systems for people exiting prison. Through Bloomberg Philanthropies' What Works Cities initiative, he has also worked on vendor diversity, transportation, and workforce and youth development projects with cities across the northeast. Before joining the GPL, Dan taught high school social studies and coached soccer in Jackson, MS, and worked in fundraising and administration for a community-based, anti-hunger organization in East Harlem. While earning an MPA from Princeton University, Dan worked in the U.S. Senate and the New York City Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. He also holds a BA from Amherst College and an MA from the University of Mississippi.
